I am incredibly proud to be the Principal of King Edward VI Academy, part of the David Ross Education Trust, we are committed to giving every student attending our school a world-class education.
We unashamedly maintain high aspirations and expectations for all our students in delivering academic excellence, embracing the value of enrichment.
Our Broadening Horizons values of aspiration, ambition, courage and respect are
rightly at the heart of everything we do in our school.
As you will read over the following pages, we achieve this through our school’s unique culture and ethos. Although a growing school we very much believe that we are still ‘Big enough to matter, small enough to care’.
In order for our students to fulfil and exceed their academic potential we offer a broad and balanced curriculum within a caring and supportive learning environment. Our school has a dedicated pastoral and inclusion team, which includes a designated transition co-ordinator who supports our students to make a positive transition into secondary school, and who is on hand to support them throughout their first year and ensure that all students are equipped to ‘Try their Personal Best and accept No Excuses’.
We are proud to have oversubscribed once again in all year groups. We welcome students into Team KEVI from Years 7 to 13 from Spilsby and the surrounding areas. Our reputation remains strong in our community and we are very much the school of choice in the local area.
As well as accessing a curriculum which allows them to achieve the highest grades at both GCSE and A – Level, our students have access to the extensive enrichment opportunities made available by the David Ross Education Trust. A student at King Edward VI Academy will have access to life changing experiences and a wealth of sporting and cultural activities.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to our school.
Mr James Myhill-Johnson
