Sport
Sport is a really important part of school life at King Edward.
Sport is an integral part of the academy and we try to offer the widest variety possible to our students.
The sports programme varies over the year according to season, but in addition to regular PE in the curriculum we have our enrichment programme which includes activities suitable for all ages, abilities and interests.
The Sports Enrichment Programme allows students to participate in an array of sports and experiences. Specialist coaches are regularly brought in for these sports in order to give the students the best possible experience.
We also run a vast array of house competitions throughout the year for all students to be involved in.
As part of the David Ross Education Trust (DRET) comes great opportunities for our students including but not limited to; opportunities to apply for bursaries, attend huge trust wide events such as the DRET Summer Cup and to participate in All Stars teams in Netball, Football, Rugby, Rowing and Running.

Wednesday 1 March 2023 Sports News! Basketball Development Day, Performance Conference, All Stars, DRET Primary News, Primary Outreach and Celebrating Success

Thursday 19 January 2023 Sports News! This week has seen some new opportunities come to the pupils of KEVI, boys and girls in years 8 and 9 have taken part in a dodgeball officiating course which they will use to support local primary school competitions. The year 8 boys 5-a-side team took on BWA on Monday night and came away 3-1 winners in a cold fixture.

This week has been a busy week at KEVI with Rowvember coming to its end, it was brilliant to see so many pupils participate in the event and contribute towards their house totals and the school total. We have seen some amazing rowing performances throughout the month, and everyone should be proud of how they did.
