This week the Year 9 Rounders team travelled to Skegness Grammar School for a fixture. The rain held off and the team demonstrated effective teamwork and some excellent batting and fielding skills. Unfortunately it was a very close score line, the team were outnumbered by just four rounders, although it was a performance to be proud of, well done.
Last week saw a commendable team of KEVI athletes attend the DRET Summer Cup Sprint Trails at Boston Princess Royal Sports Arena. KEVI had competitors in every race and saw an amazing demonstration of resilience and a very competitive spirit amongst the team. The results were through the next day, and it was delightful to establish that lots of the KEVI athletes had qualified to attend the Summer Cup in their individual events. The Summer Cup Team has been announced this week in assembly and letters have been distributed to those selected. These students should feel extremely proud to have made the team as it is a great achievement. Congratulations to the Team Captains Roxanne K Y9 and Hugh C Y9.
We look forward to the Summer Cup on Thursday 6th July.
