End of Term 1 2021

15th October 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we come towards the end of the first half term of this academic year, I would like to thank you all for your continued support over these weeks. I have been particularly impressed and proud of all students who have fully embraced The KEVI Way and continue to show the highest standards and expectations in all they do.

It is important that our students are well prepared following a school holiday in making a successful return to school and you are key to their success. We want our students to be ready to learn, making the most of the curriculum we offer and taking part in the many extra-curricular clubs and opportunities on offer at KEVI. Please support your child by ensuring they have the correct uniform and are equipped for school. I would also ask you to remind yourselves of the KEVI Way and our high expectations of behaviour and conduct. Attached to this communication is the Student Guide to the KEVI Way. This can also be found on our website. It is so important for you to understand how we will support and reward your child as well as how we tackle issues. We have clear boundaries, rules and routines because students deserve to feel safe, secure and calm in school.

Next half term is important within the academic year and busy for all of us. It is crucial that your child has good attendance and comes to school every day. Our Year 11 & 13 students will be facing full mock examinations and students in all other year groups will have their first important formal assessments of the year. We will be holding a parents’ information evening for our Year 11 parents and carers on Thursday 4th November, more information to follow following the half term break. This will be our first face to face meeting for parents since before the pandemic and we are very much looking forward to welcoming parents back into school.

Finally, I would like to wish you a very happy half term holiday. I look forward to an exciting second half term for KEVI when we return on 1st November. Thank you once again for your ongoing support.

Yours sincerely

Mr J Myhill-Johnson

Principal
