Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your continued support and for your ongoing commitment to supporting your child in their remote education during the current pandemic. I am incredibly proud of our students, their high level of engagement and the hard work of our staff to deliver the curriculum over the last six weeks. This has been a period of unprecedented challenge for everyone, our school community and Team KEVI have responded brilliantly for the last year now.
As you are aware, The Prime Minister set out the next phase of the Government’s response to coronavirus (COVID-19) yesterday afternoon, including where restrictions on attendance at education settings can be lifted and the DFE has issued guidance in order for all schools to open fully from 8th Monday 2021.
The key details of this guidance are that all schools can fully reopen from 8th March. Secondary schools are able to phase their return over the first week to allow students to be offered testing on their return.
In light of this guidance, we are working hard and planning carefully to reopen school for our students. Our plans will set a clear direction on measures to keep all students and staff safe. I want to reassure you that the safety of our staff, students and community remains our number one priority. I will write to you further over the coming week to outline specific details regarding the return of your child during the first week of reopening from 8th to 12th March and key information for the testing arrangements.
Thank you again for your ongoing support. It has been an incredible year and I very much look forward to reopening our school fully once again in March and welcoming all students back.
