Co-curricular
We offer lots of opportunities and activities so students can discover their passions and interests inside and outside the classroom.
The academy offers a wide range of activities, which help our students develop transferrable life skills.
For example:
Music
A range of music teachers visit the academy and lessons are offered free of charge in woodwind, brass, keyboard, guitar, percussion, violin and voice. It is our aim that, through curriculum-based lessons, our students will experience a wide variety of musical education and have ample opportunities to participate in practical work.
Students perform devised and scripted pieces for students, staff and parents.
Community Programmes
The academy's site and buildings occupy a large area, dedicated to supporting King Edward VI students and its extended community.
